Churchill McGee LLC, a respected general contractor specializing in commercial construction, has an immediate opening for a Construction Field Operations Manager to lead our expanding work in the Central Kentucky area.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise field staff including site supervisors, foremen, and laborers.
Ensure adherence to construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Attend critical site inspections, reviews, and meetings.
Monitor project schedules and milestone dates; adjust staffing and resources accordingly.
Provide solutions to field challenges and ensure timely issue resolution.
Lead daily communications with field teams.
Conduct regular meetings with field staff to review progress, staffing, and coordination.
Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring field personnel.
Implement performance management and incentive programs.
Enforce company health and safety policies.
Ensure all sites have required safety boards, equipment, and documentation.
Review and act on safety reports and inspections.
Track and report project costs including labor, materials, and equipment.
Use project management tools for budgeting and reporting.
Manage field labor resources and equipment logistics.
Maintain professional communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Support project close-out activities including walkthroughs, deficiency resolution, and documentation handover.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in commercial construction field operations.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and tools.
Knowledge of construction contracts, safety standards and regulations.
Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office
Education and Other Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field (preferred).
OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
Valid driver’s license and own transportation required.
