We’re looking for a Business Development Associate in Louisville, Kentucky with a passion for commercial construction, a knack for networking, and the ability to turn conversations into lasting client relationships while helping bring projects to life from the ground up.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify and Develop Sales Opportunities:
- Prospect and generate new leads through market research and networking.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential clients, including general contractors, architects, and property developers.
- Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
- Product Knowledge and Presentation:
- Thoroughly understand our commercial construction services and product offerings.
- Create compelling and tailored presentations to showcase the benefits and value of our solutions.
- Effectively communicate technical and complex construction information to clients.
- Customized Solutions:
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to create customized solutions that meet the specific needs of clients.
- Provide consultation to clients on construction project requirements and offer expert advice.
- Quoting and Proposal Development:
- Prepare detailed proposals based on client specifications.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable projects.
- Market Analysis:
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Identify emerging opportunities and threats and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Pipeline Management:
- Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline to ensure steady progress towards revenue targets.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and handle any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Achieve Sales Targets:
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 10 years’ sales experience.
- Proven experience in outside sales within the commercial construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction materials, processes, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to meet clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or related field (preferred)
