Summary
Since 1937, Rosa Mosaic has been installing terrazzo, tile, and natural stone in a variety of buildings, including many signature architectural projects. Today, Rosa Mosaic provides materials and skilled labor to fabricate and install terrazzo, natural stone, engineered quartz, tile, gauged porcelain panels, carpet, resilient and other products across a fivestate region.

The Drafter is a skilled professional using software to convert the designs of architects and engineers into detailed technical drawings. The primary function of a Drafter is to create technical shop drawings to guide Rosa Mosaic’s fabrication, manufacturing, and construction field craftworkers on the scope of work for which it is responsible under its contracts. The Drafter will collaborate with project architects, designers, millwork companies, general contractors/construction managers, and in-house project managers, to produce final, approved shop drawings based on draft drawing submittal reviews and recommendations. This position reports to the Editor of Rosa Mosaic.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Analyzes and comprehends architectural and design concepts for specific projects.
Collaborates with project architects, designers, millwork companies, general
contractors/construction managers, and in-house project managers to produce
technical drawings that reflect the project specifications.
Ensures that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards.
Verifies that the construction documents conform to the project bid documents and
budget and identifies any discrepancies for potential change orders.
Responds to requests for revisions on technical drawings for resubmittal to project
design teams for final approval.
Calculates total dimensions for areas, lineal footage, and design work to assist in
preparing accurate material requirements.
Assists project managers in developing drawings (“markups”) for field personnel to
facilitate installation of products on construction sites by marking areas with
appropriate finishes and required design layouts.
Produces templates for field personnel to install radial designs.
Maintains a library of standard drawing templates.
Prepares and maintains a current working list of status of construction documents
by project stages.
Updates existing drawings as new information becomes available.

Associate degree in drafting is required.
Minimum of five or more years of building products industry experience is preferred.
Competent in Microsoft Office suite of products and virtual estimating programs.
Experience in the construction industry and architectural finishes is a plus
