JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install metal railings and fences according to project specifications and blueprints.
  • Measure and mark installation areas to ensure precise placement and alignment.
  • Cut, shape, and weld metal components using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Assemble and secure metal structures using screws, bolts, and welding equipment.
  • Inspect and test installed railings and fences for stability and safety compliance.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on existing metal railings and fences as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with clients and contractors to understand design requirements and preferences.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring readiness for each project.
  • Estimate material and labor costs for projects and provide accurate project timelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to apprentices or junior installers as necessary.
  • Document project progress and report any issues or delays to supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Willing to travel
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a metal railing and fence installer or similar role
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of metal types and properties
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Welding and cutting techniques
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials
  • Attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in construction settings
