Seasonal Carpenter Helper / Jobsite Support

Seasonal Carpenter Helper (Ages 16 & 17)
General Purpose: To assist field personnel with basic carpentry support, material handling, site preparation, and general labor tasks while gaining exposure to the construction industry in a supervised jobsite environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists carpenters and field crews with basic construction support tasks
- Helps load, unload, organize, and transport materials and tools
- Clears debris, vegetation, and obstacles from job sites
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment
- Assists with basic carpentry and material preparation under supervision
- Follows all OSHA standards, company safety procedures and wears appropriate PPE
- Observes experienced field personnel to gain exposure to construction processes
Restrictions and Limitations:
In accordance with Kentucky and federal labor laws for minors, this role:
- Does not operate heavy machinery or prohibited power-driven equipment
- Does not perform hazardous roofing or excavation work
- Does not work in situations prohibited for minors under applicable labor laws
- Performs all work under direct supervision
Seasonal Jobsite Support (Ages 14 & 15)
General Purpose: To support jobsite operations by assisting with basic housekeeping, organization, material handling, and general support tasks while learning safe construction site practices in a supervised environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick up trash, debris, and recyclable materials throughout work areas
- Help organize tools, materials, and deliveries under supervision
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment
- Support field teams with basic non-hazardous tasks as directed
- Follows all OSHA standards, company safety procedures and wears appropriate PPE
- Observes and learns general construction site operations and safety procedures
Restrictions and Limitations:
In accordance with Kentucky and federal labor laws for minors, this role:
- Does not operate power tools or heavy equipment
- Does not perform roofing, demolition, excavation, or work at dangerous heights
- Does not work on ladders, scaffolding, or around hazardous machinery
- Does not perform electrical or hazardous trade work
- Performs only supervised, non-hazardous support activities
Travel: This position may require travel of up to 30% of the time.
Education and/or Experience: This position requires less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: This position requires the ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
