EXPERIENCE:  
Minimum of 4 years in field and holding a current Kentucky State License or reciprocal license from another state. (individual may be currently acquiring such license. )
SCOPE: 
Will consist of installation or repair of electrical systems. Includes preparation where electrical systems are installed either underground or overhead.
EDUCATION: 
GED or High School diploma
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Excavation
  • Operation of mechanical tools and their care
  • Material handling
  • Installation of materials
  • Practicing safe work procedures outlined in policy manual
  • Maintaining customer relationships
WORKING REQUIREMENTS: 
  • First Aid/CPR, ARC Flash, TB Tested
  • Current driver’s license
  • Operate in a drug free enviornment
  • Able to work out of town
  • Utilize job site sanitary facilities
  • Work form step ladders and extension ladders
  • Must not exceed 300lbs with personal tools (Class A ladder rated 300lbs)
  • Wear personal protective equipment (ie; hardhat, safety glasses, respirator when required. ) PPE clothing, hearing protection when required
  • Must have repetitive use of arms, hands, fingers
  • Operate company vehicles (Motor Vehicle Records will be requested)
  • Read and interpret maps, instruction manuals, directories or written instructions
  • Operate and work from mechanical lifts with supervision
  • Able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, work overhead
  • Possess good vision (good or corrective)
  • Has knowledge and experience of all types of raceway installation. (ie; PVC, NMC, MC Cable, EMT, Rigid, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience of all strapping methods
  • Knowledge and experience of wire installation
  • Knowledge and experience of terminations, receptacles and switch installation
  • Demonstrating progress towards obtaining electrical license, either through a state approved apprenticeship program or higher education institutions-able to work out of town
  • Proficient at conduit installation, including but not limited to MC Cable, TMC, PVC, Rigid, PVC coated rigid
  • Proficient in using National Electrical Code for electrical installations
  • Proficient at reading blueprints and specs
  • Competent with utilizing computers for information, instructions, etc.
  • Proficient at disruptive equipment and … installation
  • Proficient at wire installation
  • Knowledge of motor control wiring
  • Work on energized circuits
  • High voltage terminations under direct supervision
  • Supervise assigned job site employees
  • Proficient operating aerial lifts
